Beerfarm outlines East Coast expansion plans

Popular Western Australia, Beerfarm, is implementing a national growth strategy with an expansion to New South Wales, bringing its award-winning beer and immersive hospitality to Glenworth Vallery on the Central Coast.

The company has also launched a capital raise of up to $13m, to fund the development of the 26-acre property with a working brewery from late 2025 and a restaurant, and event space by end 2026.

Beerfarm was founded in 2015, with its home being on a 1940s dairy farm in Metricup since then. The brewery has grown its presence across the country over the last 10 years and the move to the East Coast is another step in Beerfarm’s ambition to be a truly national independent beer brand.

“We’ve always set out to do things differently, to create more than just a brewery – a place that brings people together,” said Ian Atkins, Founder and Director of Beerfarm.

“Our Metricup venue has become a staple for both locals and visitors, and we’re excited to bring that same spirit to Glenworth Valley. This is about delivering unique immersive experiences for the local community, wherever we go.”

Construction at the new Glenworth Valley facility is underway, and it is expected to grow Beerfarm’s production capacity by one million litres. The site is approximately an hour’s drive from Sydney and Newcastle and will become a key hub for Beerfarm’s expansion up and down the east coast.

“This capital raise allows us to take a proven concept and introduce it to a new audience, and NSW is just the beginning.,” Atkins added. “With other sites also on the horizon, we’re setting the foundations for something truly national, while staying independent and true to our roots.”

Beerfarm said it is currently seeking sophisticated investors and business partners to take part in the capital raise, supporting the expansion of one of Australia’s most recognisable independent beverage brands at a pivotal moment in the sector.
