Cult Bondi sandwich shop S’Wich opens second store in Redfern

Jay Fink and Jordan Abram’s S’Wich has opened in Redfern’s new Wunderlich Lane precinct.

The Bondi-born sandwich shop developed a cult following for its large, freshly made sandwiches and salads.

Co-owners Fink and Abram believe the new location reflect’s the brand’s ethos. “Wunderlich Lane has such a strong sense of community and creativity – it’s a real cultural melting pot, and the perfect spot for our second store,” says Abram.

“We’re so excited to become part of the neighbourhood and to welcome both locals and visitors to share what we do – quality produce, great music, in a space that feels like home.”

To celebrate the opening this weekend, the first 50 customers on Friday 6, Saturday 7, and Sunday 8 June will receive a free A.P. Bakery choc chip cookie. Gelato Messina will also be giving away 50 free scoops daily.

S’Wich is also teaming up with A.P. Bakery to permanently add the beloved fenugreek and sesame sourdough to the menu. The Redfern menu also has a new range exclusive to Wunderlich Lane, including Spring Chicken, with Bannockburn free range shredded chicken, baby cos, cucumber, and mayo; Le Boof, with wagyu roast beef, horseradish may, baby cos, fresh tomato, and pickled cucumber; and Core Crunch with Bannockburn free range shredded chicken, baby cos, house leaves, avo, chives, cucumber, tomato, and honey walnut crunch.

Bondi favourites will also remain on the menu, including the shnitty sandwich, and the caesar.

S’Wich Redfern is open 11am to 9pm all week long. The store joins the likes of Lottie, Olympus, Bar Julius, R by Raita Noda, and Island Radio in the precinct and its opening comes in time for Wunderlich Lane’s NightShift festival, which takes off on 16 June.
