Etymon Projects announce North Sydney hospitality precinct

Sydney-based hospitality group Etymon Projects has revealed it will launch a new food and beverage precinct in North Sydney this June.

The group who are also behind Sydney haunts such as The Charles Grand Brasserie & Bar and Loulou Bistro have shared that the precinct will be located at 168 Walker Street and feature four venues.

Etymons Projects CEO Lisa Hobbs said the project comes after the success of the group’s other north shore venues.

“What opening Poetica bar + grill in North Sydney and Loulou in Milsons Point has shown us is that there’s a real appetite for more hospitality this side of the bridge,” she says.

“North Sydney has a great buzz to it, and we see this growing especially with the Metro opening later this year.”

The four venues announced as part of the precinct include Japanese eatery Genzo; Los Angeles-inspired bar and restaurant Soluna; artisanal produce retail space Una; and cafe-meets-neighbourhood wine bar Sol bread + wine.

“We’ve spent months curating the drinks offering across the precinct and having the four different venues has allowed us to really broaden and challenge ourselves,” says Etymon Projects Director of Wine Paolo Saccone.

“Expect a versatile by-the-glass wine program that focuses on biodynamic and natural wines in Sol while Soluna will highlight the classics. Genzo will showcase interesting Japanese wines mixed with Australian and international as well as an incredible sake selection. We’re very excited about the wine and spirits program across the precinct.”

More details on the new precinct are set to be revealed in May.
