This weekend, Fremantle BeerFest will bring together more than 65 local breweries, cideries, vineyards, distilleries and food producers for a celebration of Australian craft beer and more.

Hosted by BeerFest Australia, the festival showcases some of the biggest names in Western Australia’s beer, cider, wine and spirits industries, with more than 500 premium offerings over four sessions, including one-off collaborations and festival exclusives.

James Harding, Co-director of BeerFest Australia, says: “BeerFest Australia’s mission is to create vibrant, inclusive, and slightly rebellious festivals that celebrate the best of Australian craft, culture, and community.

“In every glass, every bite of local produce, and in every note of live music, there is a story – a story of passion, dedication, and the pursuit of excellence. BeerFest exists to tell these stories.

“We champion the artisans, the musicians, the comedians, and the creators who make our regions unique and bring communities together in celebration, push boundaries, and redefine what a festival can be.”

While the drink offering is key to Fremantle BeerFest, attendees can also expect to find gourmet food producers, masterclasses with local brewers, live comedy, a live performance from Sneaky Sound System, and a jam-packed roster of games and activities.

Froth Craft Bun Brewery will host Beer Yoga, and attendees can join beer expert Lindsy Greig for a Sip & Swipe interactive tasting game, designed to pair blindfolded guests with their perfect pint.

Honouring its coastal roots, Gage Roads Brew Co will bring along a mechanical surfboard and wave machine, and Busselton’s Shelter Brewing will serve from its tinny – a boat that has been converted into a bar, as well as hosting keg tossing competitions.

Other activities include Little Creatures’ roving keg bike with on-the-go beers and quizzes, beer-themed tattoos available from WA tattooist Wayne Watson and Campus Brewing, mini golf with CBCo Brewing, and more.

Now approaching its 25th anniversary, Fremantle-based brewery Little Creatures has been a presenting partner of the festival since its inception in 2013, and Tania Lambson, a craft beer ambassador for Little Creatures, says the brewery will continue to support the festival into the future.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity to celebrate both our heritage and the vibrant craft beer scene in Western Australia. Little Creatures will be pouring fresh beer from our vibrant container bar, including our West Coast Pilsner, brewed just for the festival,” she stated.

The festival will kick off with an evening session on Friday 15 November, followed by a daytime and evening session on Saturday, before a final day session on Sunday 17 November.
