Chris Baddock will join the Good Drinks Australia board as a Non-Executive Director, subject to shareholder approval at the company’s upcoming Annual General Meeting.

Baddock brings more than 20 years of experience in the liquor industry, spanning supplier, retailer, and wholesale operations.

His previous roles include National Customer Director at Lion Australia and Managing Director of Fine Wine Partners, where he led a successful turnaround of the business.

“Lion taught me the power of great brands and strong execution at every touchpoint with the customer,” Baddock said.

“Good Drinks has a compelling portfolio and a bold vision, and I’m excited to help shape strategy and execution as the company enters its next phase of growth.”

Baddock has also held senior executive positions at Pinnacle Drinks and Endeavour Drinks, the retail business behind Dan Murphy’s and BWS.

Most recently, he served as CEO of Australian Liquor Marketers (ALM) at Metcash, which services over 14,000 independent retail liquor stores nationwide.

During his five-year tenure at ALM, Baddock grew revenues from $3.6bn to $5.1bn and spearheaded the launch of new e-commerce and loyalty platforms.

Good Drinks Australia Chairman, Ian Olson, said Baddock’s appointment supports the company’s ongoing national expansion strategy.

“Chris brings exceptional experience in building brands, leading high-performance sales teams, and navigating complex customer landscapes,” he said.

“His time at Lion, Endeavour Drinks and ALM gives him a deep understanding of supplier-retailer dynamics and national distribution, insight that will be invaluable as we continue to grow our brands and hospitality venues across Australia.”
