After its announcement earlier this year, House Made Hospitality has revealed more on what guests can expect at its four-venue precinct at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth which is slated to open in September at the northern end of the CBD.

The group has shared the precinct will feature two bars and two restaurants which will be led by Sofitel Precinct Executive Chef Elliot Pinn (ex-Sepia) and Sofitel Precinct Beverage Manager, Restaurant and Bars Christian Blair (ex-Annata, Rockpool Bar & Grill, Eau De Vie).

The ground floor of the precinct will host the 110-seat restaurant Tilda which will champion Australian seafood through the use of the venue’s charcoal oven.

Head Chef Nathanael Merchant (ex-Bentley, The Ledbury London) will be leading the culinary offering which is set to star dishes such as southern calamari with preserved lemon, ‘nduja, and myrtle; plus Fraser Island spanner crab ravioli in roast potato dashi with saltbush and daikon.

Also on the ground floor will be the 1960s-inspired Bar Tilda which will serve a 100-list Australian whisky collection alongside mid-century-inspired cocktails.

Heading up to level 5 of the precinct, guests will be able to visit the Vietnamese-French eatery Delta Rue which will send a nod to the old-world elegance of Hanoi’s Old Quarter during the 1920s.

The 150-seat venue will also host an additional 60-seat verdant terrace and serve up dishes such as Hanoi-style chargrilled pork neck skewers; banh khot with rare breed pork; and banh xeo with sambal laut and Skull Island prawns.

Also located on level 5 is the 250-seat, rooftop terrace Wentworth Bar which is set to serve large-scale cocktails designed to share with up to 10 people and a bar menu influenced by the neighbouring Delta Rue.

“The two restaurants are designed to complement each other, offering different dining experiences depending on whether you are in the mood for an elegant, seafood-focused meal or an energetic explosion of flavours at Delta Rue,” says Pinn.

“Three years of operating venues in this part of the CBD has educated us on what local corporates and residents are after when they dine, which we’ve balanced with the style of restaurant that attracts destination diners and visitors to the city.”

The four venues will join House Made Hospitality’s growing portfolio, which currently includes Hinchcliff House, Easy Tiger Bondi, Bar Mammoni, This Way Canteen, The Carrington, Promenade Bondi Beach, Martinez, and the incoming three venues slated to launch later this year at the Wunderlich Lane development in Surry Hills.

Tilda, Bar Tilda, Delta Rue, and Wentworth Bar are all scheduled to open in September at Sofitel Sydney Wentworth, 101 Phillip Street, Sydney, New South Wales.
