House of Pocket launches 30-strong $18 cocktail menu

Bees Knees, Gimlet and Hemingway Daiquiri are among the 30 classic cocktails on the newly-launched $18 menu at three House of Pocket venues in Sydney.

Developed as a nod to the golden age of cocktails without the premium price tag, the new cocktail menu comprises 30 timeless classic cocktails, each priced at just $18.

Karl Schlothauer, who owns House of Pocket, says: “This is about making going out more accessible, any night of the week. It would be great if pollies could level the playing field and give cocktail drinkers the same tax relief they gave beer drinkers.”

The complete classic cocktail menu is now available at all three House of Pocket venues, including the original hangout Pocket Bar and speakeasy Stitch Bar.

The third venue in the group’s portfolio is Kasippu, which opened in December last year. At the front of Kasippu is Wadiya, a Sri Lankan curry house serving up authentic dishes, which leads through to Kasippu’s bar where the cocktail menu that puts a Sri Lankan influence on contemporary mixology.

The 30 staple cocktails featured on the menu are:
