Organisers of the Bartenders’ Weekender, which is taking place in Brisbane in June, have announced a scholarship for the event, which will see five bartenders from across the country flown to Brisbane to experience the Weekender.

Along with the Weekender itself, the Scholarship aims to inspire the next generation of Australian bartenders and so will offer flights, three nights accommodation, passes to the Weekender sessions and events as well as $500 spending money to help fully experience everything the Weekender has to offer.

The event is being organised by Penny Sippe and Sam Bygrave, and Sippe said the Bartenders’ Weekender will be championing growth within the industry.

“We have created a scholarship program and are looking for the five most promising bartenders to bring to Brisbane and encourage the next generation of passionate industry professionals to become leaders in their home cities,” she said.

The scholarship will provide an all access pass to learn, connect, and create in Brisbane and is an exciting part of the program.

Bars and Clubs will keep you updated with more information as it comes, for now you can head to the Bartenders’ Weekender website to sign up and stay informed.

Additionally any brands looking at sponsorship opportunities over the course of the Bartenders’ Weekender, should email penny@australiancocktailmonth.com.au.
