Bartenders across the country have stepped up to showcase their skills as the 2025 Marie Brizard Cocktail Competition unfolds, each challenged with crafting a cocktail that showcases the unique flavours of a Marie Brizard liqueur.
Participants’ cocktail creations must feature at least 30ml of any Marie Brizard liqueur in a drink that contains no more than six ingredients. Entries were evaluated based on creativity, visual appeal and originality, with judges travelling across the country to taste shortlisted cocktails and engage with the bartenders behind them.
Four regional finalists have been selected to compete at La La Land in The Prince Consort Hotel, Brisbane, and showcase their creations. The finalists are:
Jay Cozma
Old Love’s, Sydney
Jay’s Lever L’ancre combines Marie Brizard Falernum and Anisette with rum, soursop, lime and saline.
