Marriott has announced two new appointments across leadership in Oceania with long-serving company employees promoted to the roles.
Kelly Russell has been appointed to Area Director, Sales & Distribution and Carsten Siebert has been named Senior Area Director of Operations.
Ms Russell moves into the role with 10 years of experience in sales and leadership positions within the company, having previously held the role of Market Director – Sales & Distribution Victoria.
Mr Siebert has been with Marriott for more than 25 years, holding numerous Operations and General Manager positions across South East Asia including Australia.
Marriott Area Vice President ANZP, Sean Hunt, said pair will help lead the development of new properties and 2024 openings.
“With Kelly and Carsten heading our strategic leadership in their respective fields of expertise, I am confident in the performance of our team, and am optimistic that the year ahead will further solidify our region’s performance as a leading travel destination,” he said.
Marriott also recently appointed Krister Svensson to a newly-created dual role leading luxury brands in Australia.
Svensson will also oversee operations at W Melbourne whilst leading all luxury General Managers in Australia.
