Monkey Shoulder’s bold new look

Written by Feb 3, 2025The Shout NZ

Award-winning whisky Monkey Shoulder is made for those who love to mingle. Its smooth, rich and perfectly balanced blend, with notes of zesty orange, vanilla, honey and spiced oak can be enjoyed on its own but, when you come out to play it’s fun to mix it up too. Layer with ginger ale, tonics, bitters or fruit juice and you’re all set to make a splash.

About Monkey Shoulder

Launched in 2005, Monkey Shoulder was the world’s first ‘made for mixing’ blended malt-whisky and has been breaking with convention ever since. The name is derived from the Scottish slang for a muscular strain suffered by malt men during the days when whisky was still made by hand.

Developed as the ultimate whisky for cocktails Monkey Shoulder brings together 100% single malt whiskies from the Speyside region in the northeast of Scotland. Carefully selected in small batches, these whiskies are married together to create a rich and fruity flavour that’s smooth til the last drop.

It’s not just the hue that’s golden

Monkey Shoulder’s innovative approach has been admired around the world, winning Gold in the International Spirits Challenge in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2020, 2021 and 2022.

A lighter profile sets it apart from the more traditional Scotch whiskies making it perfect for those looking to write their own rules.

A new look for a new legend

It’s great on its own but the premium blend has also become a top pick with mixologists and now with a new look, lighter bottle and the same liquid, it’s even easier to get creative.

The refreshed design has reduced the amount of glass by over 23% making it lighter and more comfortable to hold. A longer neck enhances its ease of pouring, giving you the freedom to add your own flair.

Replacing traditional whisky with Monkey Shoulder is a cool twist that’s sure to wake up your taste buds – The Ginger Monkey is a fresh take on a classic and perfect for summer.

With a new-look bottle and a fresh spin on classic cocktails, Monkey Shoulder is set to shake up the whisky category with good times and smooth sips ahead.
