NED Australian Whisky has announced a new partnership to become the official whisky of the Australian Baseball League (ABL).

The Ned Kelly logo has become a familiar face across Australian stores and venues, and is now being introduced to the world of Aussie sport.

Top Shelf International CEO Trent Fraser said: “This is such a natural and organic partnership, and we are thrilled to be collaborating with the ABL on our whisky.”

To celebrate the partnership, NED will be releasing a limited-edition whisky, which is available for pre-sale now, ahead of official release on Friday, 22 November. The partnership bottle will be given a new look with an ABL design, while maintaining NED’s original and rustic flavour.

The partnership comes at no better time, with the ABL set to see yet another successful season, after kicking off last week and running into February next year.

Fraser added: “The ABL take a game loved by millions, probably billions, and approach it with a uniquely Aussie flair and grit. The same goes for NED – it’s is Aussie for bourbon. A classic, but with an Aussie accent.”

ABL GM Paul Gonzalez said he was excited about the new partnership with NED. “This collaboration marks an important step forward for the Australian Basketball League as we continue to grow both on and off the field.

“Together, we look forward to achieving great things and creating unforgettable experiences for everyone who supports the ABL.”
