Porter’s Wahroonga, located in Sydney’s north, has received an allocation of a 50-year-old single malt whisky, Glenglassaugh Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection, priced at $20,000.
The bottle is one of the few bottles available in Australia. Store Manager Mitch Graham said that the store sought out the whisky due to interest from a customer.
“Leveraging Porter’s Liquor’s strong reputation for offering high-end premium whisky, we actively sought out a rare gem and discovered the Glenglassaugh 50-Year-Old Serpentine Coastal Cask. Despite limited information about this unique release, we engaged with Brown-Forman and successfully secured a bottle for one fortunate customer looking for a whisky of this calibre,” he said.
Porter’s Wahroonga has developed a reputation for its range of high-quality whisky, and Graham hopes that the Glenglassaugh allocation will build on this reputation.

The exclusivity of the Glenglassaugh Serpentine Coastal Cask Collection release is enhanced by the limited information available online. However, this meant that Porter’s Wahroonga needs to be proactive about engaging with customers who may be interested in rare and hard-to-find products.
