Report: Budget restraints and tech dominate global event trends

The company’s “Navigating the State of Events: Insights and Strategies for 2025” provides comprehensive industry analysis of the latest trends, challenges and opportunities shaping the events sector worldwide.

It offers in-depth insights on emerging technologies, shifting attendee expectations and the key factors influencing global event success.

The report’s research includes survey responses from more than 370 event professionals and interviews with industry leaders, with its findings providing valuable guidance for events professionals.

Key findings from the report include:

  • Budget limitations are a primary concern for event professionals, with 63.5 per cent of respondents identifying financial constraints as their biggest challenge.
  • More than 95 per cent of event professionals rate in-person events as “very important” or “moderately important”.
  • According to 79.7 per cent of event professionals surveyed, high-quality content is the most important factor for event success.
  • Technology plays a critical role in modern event planning, with 79.3 per cent of event professionals using event management software.
  • With increasing distractions and digital fatigue, 42.7 per cent of respondents struggle to keep attendees engaged.
