Singapore’s Burnt Ends to host pop-up at Perth’s Indigo Oscar

Renowned flame-kissed establishment Burnt Ends is coming to Australia to host a two-day pop-up at Perth’s Indigo Oscar on 10 & 11 May.

Burnt Ends Head Chef and Co-founder Dave Pynt will be on the pans at the Latin American-inspired restaurant in Cottesloe for three seatings across the two days.

Guests will be able to book in for either a 10-course set dinner ($350pp) on the Friday and Saturday, or a 8-course lunch ($295) on the Saturday.

It’ll be a homecoming for the Perth-born Pynt, who will curate a special menu for the event featuring Western Australian produce.

“Western Australia has some of the finest produce in the world and I’m excited to be taking our kitchen to my home city at Indigo Oscar,” says Pynt.

“This pop-up will see our team experiment with local seasonal ingredients and transform them using culinary techniques distinct to our Burnt Ends DNA.”

Some of the dishes expected to star on the menu include a Western Australian marron with tobiko and kombu-smoked butter beurre blanc; smoked quail egg and caviar; a 45-day dry aged Blackmore’s striploin; and a Perth pavlova.

Guests can also expect pairings of Frankland River winery Swinney Wines’ Farvie collection with the courses.

Tickets for the pop-up are set to go on sale today, Thursday 18 April at 9am AWST via the Indigo Oscar website.
