The Taiwan Tourism Information Centre (TTIC) in Sydney’s CBD has officially opened, and it is designed to inspire, inform and connect travellers with one of Asia’s most dynamic destinations.
The hub is based at 22 Market Street and arrives amid a 26 per cent jump in Australian and New Zealand visitors to Taiwan during the past year.
These numbers are forecast to climb another 16 per cent in the next 12 months.
“Australian travellers are adventurous and discerning, seeking meaningful cultural encounters and authentic nature experiences, and Taiwan has it all,” says Shih-fang Huang, deputy director general, Taiwan Tourism Administration.
“With the opening of our new TTIC Sydney office, we’re making it even easier for Australians to discover Taiwan’s beauty, flavours and culture, while strengthening our partnerships here and underscoring our commitment to the country.”
The new centre offers cultural showcases, travel advice and insider tips to help visitors craft the ultimate Taiwan itinerary, from the night markets of Taipei to the mountain trails of Alishan.
Building on the Sydney office launch, Taiwan Tourism Administration plans to roll out campaigns across major Australian and New Zealand cities and expand its presence at key trade shows.
