Team NZ takes out The Reid Global Cocktail Competition

Team New Zealand has taken home The Reid Cup with their win at The Reid Global Cocktail Competition.

Harry Findlay – bartender at Londo in Christchurch – won Best Bartender with his cocktail ‘Figet
About It’.

Paul Minea – bartender at the Sofitel in London – placed second with his cocktail ‘Barley and
Kiwi’.

And Michael Jones – bartender at Pravda in Wellington – placed third with ‘Tea & Biscuits’.

The Reid Global Cocktail Competition saw 12 bartenders from the UK, USA and NZ competing to be part of their country’s team.

They then travelled to the Cardrona Valley to compete for the championship title, showcasing
their skill and creativity through their signature cocktail made with The Reid Single Malt Vodka.

“The calibre of cocktails throughout this global competition was incredibly high,” says Desiree Reid, Founder and Managing Director of Cardrona Distillery.

“We are truly impressed by everyone’s talent, the range of cocktail recipes presented and everyone’s love for The Reid.

“We congratulate Team NZ on their win, and recognise the immense amount of passion and talent
displayed by everyone across Team USA, Team UK and Team NZ throughout this competition.”
