The Langham, Sydney appoints new managing director

Harvey Thompson has been named as new managing director for The Langham, Sydney, reporting to Jeffrey Van Vorsselen, regional vice-president of operations, Pacific.

Since joining Langham Hospitality Group in 2022, Thompson has served as general manager of Eaton Hong Kong and managing director of Eaton Workshop.

He will continue to serve as managing director of Eaton Workshop to drive the development and growth of the Eaton brand.

In his new role, Thompson will focus on driving luxury at the boutique Sydney hotel.

“We are thrilled to have a seasoned leader such as Harvey join the Langham, Sydney,” says Van Vorsselen.

Located in Millers Point, near The Rocks, Walsh Bay and Barangaroo, The Langham, Sydney features 96 rooms and suites that boast Sydney Harbour and CBD views; Day Spa by Chuan; a pool; dining hub Kitchens on Kent; The Observatory Bar; and 379 square metres of events facilities across two spaces.
