Perched 100 metres above Brisbane River, Sky Deck forms part of The Star Brisbane’s tourism destination in the Queensland capital’s new $3.6 billion precinct.

The new Sky Deck venues are Babblers and Cicada Blu, which are two of three day-to-night venues showcasing Queensland’s outdoor lifestyle.

Babblers provides a relaxed all-day dining experience on Sky Deck’s eastern side, offering dishes such as house-baked flatbreads and K’gari spanner crab omelette with fermented chilli mornay.

The open-air Cicada Blu bar offers views across Brisbane, as well as entertainment and a bespoke menu of pre-dinner aperitifs and bar snacks.

Cicada Blu is open from 3pm to late every Wednesday to Sunday.

“Sky Deck brings a new era of dining and entertainment to our city, and we are excited to welcome guests to experience these incredible rooftop venues,” says Dustin Osuch, The Star Brisbane’s general manager, food and beverage.

“Our vision for Sky Deck was to create a space that locals and travellers can visit at any point of the day and be captivated.

“With Babblers and Cicada Blu now open, and our signature restaurant, Aloria, set to follow next month [October 2024] Sky Deck is becoming an unforgettable Brisbane landmark that showcases the spirit of our city.”
