The latest webinar in the monthly series by Wine Communicators of Australia (WCA) will take place on Wednesday 16 October, discussing the process of getting involved in wine show judging.

Hosted by experienced judges Sam Connew, Owner of Stargazer Wines, and Jack Glover, the WCA October webinar is designed to be an interactive session, helping wine professionals to understand the ins and outs of the judging in the Australian wine show circuit, with advice for those starting out.

Connew and Glover will share insights into their own experiences, as well as sharing tips for aspiring judges on how to best prepare yourself to become a wine show judge, and how to make a valuable contribution to this landscape.

The discussion will be led by Matt Irwin, WSET App Development Manager – APAC, uncovering important topics such as the way in which the Australian wine show judging circuit works, who selects the judging panels and how the selection process works.

Webinar guests will learn how to prepare with experience and education in order to stand out among other applicants, as well as discussions about the importance of including a range of positions on panels.

With tips for cracking the judging circuit, the webinar has been designed to help wine professionals gain their first associate judging role, and is free to all WCA members, with a fee of $55 for non-members.
