With a proven track record of driving industry growth, the biennial Fine Food New Zealand trade fair returns to the Auckland Showgrounds Sunday, 29 June to Tuesday, 1 July with a mission to push the food and beverage sector forward.

An industry hub for hospitality, foodservice and food retail of who’s who and what’s new, this is the place to meet, network, educate, research and investigate all the tools and tricks of the trade that have been designed with you in mind.

Championships on Site

This year will see the NZ Chefs Championships held on site over the course of the event where chefs from a variety of disciplines will be competing for the World Championships vying for position of NZ Chef of the Year, NZ Pastry Chef of the Year and NZ Emerging Chef of the Year.

The Caputo Cup will also be held on site where the best pizza makers will be challenged to produce award winning pizzas. This year is the first time the Caputo Cup will be held at Fine Food New Zealand, on the back of the success of Auckland Pizzeria, Dante’s, taking third place at the World Championships in 2024.

On the menu are seminars, networking opportunities and ways to be inspired.  For example, join an inspiring conversation with Sarah Frizzell, co-founder of The Lucky Taco. Sarah shares her vibrant journey from a taco-obsessed honeymoon in Mexico to launching New Zealand’s most awarded food truck.

Discover the highs and lows of building an authentic Mexican brand, overcoming setbacks, and achieving nationwide distribution of their acclaimed taco kits, salsas and marinades. Sarah’s passion, resilience, and creativity could ignite your own food journey aspirations. Tune in for a spicy dose of inspiration.

‘Pack A Punch’

Rebecca Stewart, Group Director of XPO comments, “Trade events like Fine Food New Zealand are infrequent, but boy do they pack a punch and one particular sector of the industry that really stands to gain is the kitchen.

“All chefs are encouraged to visit, participate and support those competing – this is where the stars are made and to have industry support creates an environment of both solidarity, excitement and exhilaration.  In addition to the NZ Chefs Championships and the Caputo Cup there will be new products, innovations, best practice and operating efficiencies all showcasing their latest and greatest.  There is no better environment to do business than face-to-face, with everyone you need to meet all in one place, at the same time.”

Trade registration is open free until 28th June, or $25 thereafter and on the gate. Proof of your industry status is required to secure your place.  For more information or to register visit https://www.finefoodnz.co.nz/.
