Global market research conducted by Corporate Travel Management, in March 2025, surveying more than 700 Millennial and Gen Z employees, shows optimism about the role of AI in business travel management.
According to the research, two-thirds of Millennials say they’re excited about AI’s role in business travel, compared to 25 per cent who are concerned.
While Gen Z is more conflicted – with 41 per cent excited and 41 per cent concerned – both groups anticipate AI will positively impact booking speed (65 per cent), product choice (61 per cent) and cost (60 per cent).
“Millennial and Gen Z travellers are going to be our future business decision-makers so they are not just influencing the future of business travel, they are defining it,” says Joel Bailey, global chief technology officer, Corporate Travel Management.
With 59 per cent of respondents booking their own travel, demand is rising for seamless, self-service tech.
Corporate Travel Management’s virtual travel assistant, Scout, is meeting this need by allowing business travellers to search, book and manage their travel across devices.
As a result, more than 90 per cent of Corporate Travel Management’s customers are experiencing faster service response times.
“We’re investing in proprietary AI to deliver faster, more personalised experiences and omni-channel service solutions that empower users to book and manage travel with the convenience of their chosen device, location and time,” says Bailey.
