Chinese Premier Li Qiang recently announced a new visa agreement with Australia after meeting Prime Minister Anthony Albanese in Canberra.
With 15-days of visa-free travel for Australian passport holders now available, Aussies will be able to enter China without a visa for purposes such as business, tourism or visiting relatives and friends.
However, people heading to China for paid work, study or journalism purposes are not covered by the visa-free entry policy.
The agreement makes travel planning more straightforward, eliminating bureaucratic hurdles and giving visitors flexibility to change itineraries without the worry of visa-related commitments.
Australian are still encouraged to take supportive documents when entering China – such as invitation letters, flight tickets or hotel reservation confirmation emails – to help verify the purpose of each visit.
