Sydneysiders can look forward to a family-friendly weekend of fun, food and beers as The Australian Heritage Hotel welcomes its annual Beer Fest back to The Rocks from 25 – 27 October 2024.

Now in its 19th year, the street party showcases the best of Australia’s craft brewing industry in a three-day event with more than 40 unique beers and ciders. Exhibitors include some of Australia’s most loved brewers and newcomers, such as Grifter, Young Henrys, Sunday Road, 4 Pines, White Bay and Merino Brewery.

Visitors can also expect to see meet-the-brewer sessions, gourmet food stalls, live entertainment and games and giveaways.

Taz Murphy, General Manager at The Australian Heritage Hotel, says she looks forward to continuing a tradition she’s seen grow over the last 19 years.

“It really is the highlight of the year for us. We live craft beer at The Australian with over 130 different craft brews on hand at any one time, but our annual beer festival is where we really celebrate exceptional brewers, great entertainment and connection with the people that love what we love – good times and great beer,” she stated.

Each year, attendees vote for their favourite brewer at the craft beer festival, with the winner receiving the Geoff Scharer Best Overall Beer Award, named in honour of The Australian Heritage Hotel’s long-time publican and micro-brewing pioneer.

Finalists in the inaugural The Homebrewers Association Pro Am home brew competition will also be showcased at Beer Fest as part of a collaboration with Sydney Beer Week, which takes place from 18 – 25 October.

Entry to Beer Fest is free, with a tasting cup and four tasting tickets available at the event for $35, and additional tasting top ups available at four for $28.
