Bayfield Hotels hosted its annual Charity Trade Luncheon earlier this month, with the challenge of raising $380,000 to hit the milestone of $5m in total funds raised, this target was smahed with $430,000 raised for the Children’s Cancer Institute Australia.
The Bayfield family has been hosting its luncheon since 2000, and this year again saw key suppliers and stakeholders from across the liquor industry unite in the fight to eliminate childhood cancer.
Wayne Bayfield said: “We are humbled by the generosity of our suppliers, stakeholders, and everyone who contributed to this incredible result.
Raising $430,000 at the luncheon brings our total donations for 2024 to over $500,000; a testament to what can be achieved when communities come together for a cause that matters.”
In addition to the luncheon, other Bayfield Hotels Group fundraising activities this year have seen Mark and Wayne Bayfield’s September Lighthouse to Lighthouse 350km Charity Walk and Kaine Bayfield’s involvement in the CEO Dare to Cure campaign.
“The fight against childhood cancer is ongoing, and every dollar raised brings us closer to a cure. We are proud to stand with the Children’s Cancer Institute and look forward to continuing our support through these impactful events,” Mark Bayfield said.
The Bayfield Hotels’ Group said it extends its heartfelt gratitude to all attendees, partners, and supporters for their dedication to making a difference in the lives of children and their families.
