In July 2016, five iconic NBA team owners – Emilia Fazzalari and Wyc Grousbeck of the Celtics, Jeanie Buss of the Lakers, Michael Jordan of the Hornets, and Wes Edens of the Bucks – shared a dinner and a passion for tequila. From this moment, Cincoro Tequila was born. Combining Cinco(five) and Oro (gold), Cincoro stands as a symbol of the gold standard in tequila, crafted with passion, precision, and purpose.
Our journey starts with hand-selecting the finest Blue Weber agave, grown in both the Highlands and Lowlands of Jalisco. With respect for nature, we harvest the agave only when it is fully ripe, ensuring each piña is at its peak. These agaves are slow-cooked to deeply caramelize their sugars, followed by a precise pressing to extract their essence. The liquid is then carefully distilled to create a refined, smooth spirit.
Our aged tequilas are matured in Tennessee whiskey barrels, where oak imparts rich, complex flavours that elevate the taste profile. Each sip of Cincoro reveals unmatched depth, complexity, and an extraordinary smoothness that distinguishes it from the rest.
Cincoro Tequila is launching in Australia in December 2024, and over the coming months, the brand will make its mark at the country’s in key accounts.
