Family-owned and operated pub group Dean Group of Hotels has acquired the Kincraig Hotel in Naracoorte, with a massive renovation underway.

The Dean Group of Hotels took over ownership of the Kincraig Hotel on 21 October, after the pub had been closed for the past four years – apart from its bottleshop, which has remained open.

The Limestone Coast pub remains closed for now, as The Dean Group has begun a comprehensive renovation of the venue. The plans for the Kincraig Hotel are expected to reintroduce the pub as a multi-faceted venue providing a family focused offering for local residents, which includes a dining room, main bar, kids play area, corporate function/meeting spaces for local business and provide much needed five-star heritage accommodation in the area.

“The acquisition and the group’s plan to extensively renovate the venue, will make this project a significant multi-million-dollar investment for the group and the local region,” the Dean Group commented.

“We aim to become a pillar of the local community, with a focus on regional food, wine, and accommodation for the Limestone Coast region. Having owned and operated the Macs Hotel in Mt Gambier since 2010, the group is proud to be a part of the Limestone Coast community and plans to bring same high level of hospitality to Naracoorte.”

Established in 2001, the Dean Group of Hotels comprises the aforementioned Macs Hotel, as well as Largs Pier Hotel, Walkers Arms Hotel, The London Tavern, and the Peninsula Hotel Motel in Taperoo.

The renovations at Kincraig Hotel began in October, with works to be completed in stages over the next 12 months.
