Disco vibe: Bringing Spice’s Uncovered After Dark to life

At D PLUS D Events, every event begins with understanding our client’s vision, budget and objectives.

We work closely with each client to curate a unique experience that aligns with their brief, from selecting venue aesthetics and entertainment to the food and beverage offerings that make the event unforgettable.

Our approach is personalised and we ensure every aspect of the event – from furniture and decor, to layout and ambiance – complements the venue’s natural aesthetic and enhances the theme.

For Events Uncovered presented by Spice’s Uncovered After Dark, at Museum of Contemporary Art, in Sydney’s Circular Quay, this meant infusing a vibrant disco vibe into the venue’s Harbourside Room while staying true to the event’s colours and feel.

As a proud sponsor of Events Uncovered presented by Spice, D PLUS D Events was thrilled to curate Uncovered After Dark.

Inspired by the brief for an immersive disco atmosphere, we transformed the space into a vibrant oasis where guests could unwind and celebrate in style.

For the layout, we designed a central lounge zone that drew the eye. Our black Apollo Curve lounges formed a spherical arrangement in the middle of the room, which created an inviting social space.

The lounges were complemented by our Sienna Velvet Ottomans in bold black and orange tones, which added colour and comfort.

Scattered throughout the room, Gold Atlas bar tables and Gold Hive bar stools balanced elegance and functionality, and offered ample space for guests to mingle.

The room was punctuated with accent pieces in metallic golds, black, orange and magenta, adding to the room’s warmth and vibrancy.

Of course, no disco would be complete without disco balls, which brought the right amount of sparkle.

Logistically, Uncovered After Dark was a feat. The Harbourside Room served as conference space for Events Uncovered presented by Spice during the day, which meant the D PLUS D Events team only had a two-hour window to turn it into a dazzling party setting.

However, the team transformed the room on time, ensuring every detail was in place for an electrifying wrap party that perfectly captured the essence of Spice and the celebratory spirit of the evening.
