#JustAddRhubi x Mix Haus cocktail competition finalists announced

Written by Nov 11, 2024Bars and Clubs

More than 60 female and non-binary bartenders entered the #JustAddRhubi x Mix Haus cocktail competition, with four finalists selected to compete in a live final at Centro 86 in Sydney.

Set to take place on Monday 25 November, the female bar takeover will give each of the finalists 30 minutes to showcase their signature Rhubi cocktails as part of a Mix Haus fundraising event, with the audience invited to try them.

The finalists are Isobel Friel (Caterpillar Club, Sydney), Charlie Hunter (Savile Row, Brisbane), Alexandra Percy (Sante Cocktail Bar, Toowoomba) and Jac Landmark (Bar Love, Perth), who will all be flown to Sydney to take part in the competition.

The winner will take home $1000 in cash, but the competition is about more than just bragging rights. Building on the success of the inaugural #JustAddRhubi cocktail competition, the collaboration with Mix Haus hopes to raise the profile of Australia’s female bartending talent, while raising funds for the group.

Rhubi’s Brand Director, Linn Philips-Johansson, says: “We love seeing Rhubi’s versatility in cocktails, but this year we’re even more excited to use this platform to support women in hospitality and open up those dialogues about what it means to be female and working in this industry.”
