The airline will add three weekly flights from 16 June 2025 taking its total weekly frequency on the Brisbane route from 25 to 28 flights, which is four daily services.

The announcement comes from increased demand for services to the Queensland capital on the back of its increased standing as a business destination with the 2032 Olympic Games on the horizon.

“Travel demand has been strong as Brisbane continues to grow as a major gateway, and Queensland gains significance as a global destination for business and leisure,” says Louis Arul, Singapore Airlines’ regional vice president, southwest Pacific.

“Singapore Airlines is pleased to offer more options for travellers to Singapore, and connect to more than 110 cities globally via Singapore Changi Airport.”

Brisbane Airport has welcomed the boost in flight capacity to and from Singapore.

“This is a milestone announcement, delivering four services per day, every day, marking the end of a long five-year recovery on this critical route for Queensland,” says Gert-Jan de Graaff, Brisbane Airport’s chief executive officer.

“The Singapore-to-Brisbane connection is our second busiest international route, bringing a constant flow of tourists from across Asia and Europe to Queensland.

“Last year, more than half of all visitors from India to Brisbane travelled via Singapore Airlines.”

Queensland Minister for the Environment and Tourism, and Minister for Science and Innovation, Andrew Powell says the increased airline capacity is a welcome shot in the arm for the state’s economy.

“We are thrilled our investment via the Attracting Aviation Investment Fund is returning these dividends,” he says.

“This means more international visitors coming to our great state, and greater choice for Queenslanders heading offshore.

“It’s also extra capacity for our awesome exporters, with more direct flights to get their produce to market in Asia.”
