Sydney Beer Week (SBW) 2025 is gearing up to be the most exciting and dynamic celebration of beer culture the city has ever seen. With a fresh approach, new opportunities for brewers and venues, and an all-around commitment to creativity, SBW 2025 is setting the stage for an unforgettable experience.
Whether you’re a brewery, a venue, or an industry professional, now is the time to get involved in this unmissable week of events, innovation, and connection.
Reimagining the festival experience
Sydney Beer Week 2025 will see the festival take a radically fresh approach by putting breweries, bars, and venues at the heart of the action. For the first time, there are no registration fees for venues, making it easier for everyone to get involved. This is a festival where the industry gets to shape its own experience, without the top-down limitations of previous years.
From tap takeovers to unique beer launches, food pairings to fully immersive events, SBW 2025 is all about flexibility and creativity. Venues and brewers have the freedom to craft events that showcase their beers, their brands, and the diverse communities that make up the craft beer scene.
The message is clear: this year, SBW is your festival.
SBW 2025 isn’t just another beer festival – it’s an opportunity for industry professionals to elevate their brands, forge new connections, and amplify their presence within the beer community. Whether you’re a local brewery or a Sydney-based bar, participating in SBW offers valuable exposure to beer enthusiasts, trade professionals, and the broader hospitality industry.
As a participant, your venue or brewery will benefit from targeted marketing, PR exposure, and the chance to directly engage with an audience that’s eager to discover new flavours, experiences, and stories behind the beers they love. SBW is the perfect platform for businesses to attract new customers, strengthen industry relationships, and showcase the passion and creativity that go into every pint.
The Pro-Am Competition: A gateway for emerging talent
SBW 2025 is also excited to bring back its Pro-Am brewing competition, now in its second year. This innovative initiative pairs passionate home brewers with professional breweries to create one-of-a-kind beers that will be commercially brewed and made available to the public. It’s a celebration of creativity, collaboration, and the endless potential for fresh ideas within the craft beer community.
The Pro-Am competition provides home brewers with the incredible opportunity to have their work showcased alongside industry leaders, strengthening connections between emerging talent and established professionals. The future of beer is in the hands of these passionate brewers, and SBW 2025 is the perfect stage to amplify their voices.
The return of the Beer & Brewer Awards: A night to remember
After years of disruption, the iconic Beer & Brewer Awards are back as a face-to-face event in 2025. This is a momentous occasion for the beer industry, offering an opportunity to celebrate excellence across all facets of brewing, venues, and innovation. It’s a chance to recognise the hard work, dedication, and creativity that shape Australia’s beer scene – whether it’s a brewery creating world-class brews, a venue elevating the craft beer experience, or a rising star making their mark on the industry.
The return of the in-person awards is a true highlight of SBW 2025, reinforcing the festival’s role as the nexus where the beer community comes together to celebrate achievements, exchange ideas, and look ahead to what’s next.
It’s not just about the awards – it’s about fostering a sense of pride, unity, and growth within the craft beer industry.
