The new partnership will see Heritage Hotels retain ownership of five properties that TFE Hotels will manage.

These properties will be refurbished during the next two years.

With the addition of Adina Citylife Auckland and Rendezvous Heritage Auckland to its portfolio, TFE Hotels will increase its Auckland footprint to five properties.

Additionally, Adina CityLife Wellington ensures TFE Hotels can offer apartment-style accommodation in the New Zealand capital.

TFE Hotels’ global sales officer, Shahnaz Bakhshay, says the new strategic partnership with Heritage Hotels will open the doors to more Australian clients visiting MICE destinations such as Auckland, Christchurch and Queenstown.

“Auckland is a key target market for TFE Hotels, with our Adina brand already well established,” she says.

“The addition of 244 new hotel rooms in desirable MICE locations leaves us well placed to influence our ANZ client base and capitalise on the city’s already stellar reputation as a business and events destination in the lead up to the [New Zealand] International Convention Centre opening [in Auckland] next year.”

Rendezvous Heritage Auckland offers versatile onsite conference facilities, with eight venues catering to private meetings or large-scale conferences up to 300 people.

“Like Auckland, our Wellington hotels are well placed to cater to delegates attending world-class events at nearby Tākina Wellington Convention and Exhibition centre; government and association clients; the science and technology sector; and base leisure business,” says Bakhshay.

In the south, Rendezvous Heritage Hotel will see TFE Hotels re-establish its brand presence in Christchurch, while the 175-room Rendezvous Heritage Queenstown (pictured, above) will deliver a strong MICE and leisure offering in New Zealand’s adventure capital.

“Queenstown is an ideal incentive destination and has seen a strong recovery in demand as the appetite for conferences and incentives in the adventure capital continues to grow,” says Bakhshay.

“Naturally, TFE will be looking to tap into the strong corporate conferencing, incentive and weddings market available to us, with the panoramic views of Lake Wakatipu and The Remarkables offering a natural selling point.”
