TIGC24 to bring $30 million in business events to Gold Coast

This is Gold Coast 2024 (TIGC24) is expected to generate $30 million in business events opportunities through its showcasing of venues, culinary delights and experiences for meetings, conferences and incentive groups.

TIGC24 is curated by the team from Experience Gold Coast, and its executive director of events, Avril Harris, says it shines a spotlight on the evolution of the Queensland city as a premier business events destination.

“The Gold Coast has the natural advantage as the perfect backdrop for any conference, meeting and incentive group, centred between 57km of stunning coastline, 100,000 hectares of ancient rainforest, and the region encapsulates more than 51 per cent of green and open space,” she says.

“TIGC24 provides a great opportunity to enhance the profile of the Gold Coast as a premium business events destination, inspiring the imagination with creative and bespoke events with a focus on sustainability.

“According to Queensland Business Event Survey, the Gold Coast business events sector generated $499 million in economic benefit in the 2022-2023 financial year, and we recognise our responsibility to create a positive impact and leave a legacy for generations to come.”

The Experience Gold Coast team is joined by 43 industry partners for the 10th edition of TIGC.

“This year’s event is expected to generate more than $30 million in national and international business event leads, which is testament to our team, our industry partners and our city’s business events offerings as we continue to invest in infrastructure,” says Experience Gold Coast’s director of business events, Brooke Campbell.

“We are the home of technology, innovation and health sciences in a vibrant hub of entrepreneurship, surrounded by one of the most famous leisure destinations in the world.”

In addition to showcasing the city’s best accommodation options, conference facilities, offsite venues and local experiences, TIGC24 will feature a full-day tradeshow at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.
