Woodford Reserve brings Old Fashioned Week back, and then some

Woodford Reserve has brought back its celebration of the classic Old Fashioned cocktail, but has extended it to be a month long, with 50 bars across Australia serving up complimentary Old Fashioned throughout November.

As part of the celebration Woodford Reserve Master Distiller Elizabeth McCall has made her first visit to Australia, with bartenders enjoying a series of masterclasses, to learn from one of the industry’s most distinguished figures.

Richard Dredge, Woodford Reserve Senior Brand Manager, Brown-Forman ANZPI said he was excited to once again see Australians raise a glass to the Old Fashioned.

“We’re thrilled to be bringing Old Fashioned Week back to Australia once again this year, and this time, making it even bigger and better than ever by extending the celebration to a full month and bringing international cocktail partners in on the fun as part of our global bar exchange,” he said.

“We also have an extra special guest for this year’s celebrations with our Master Distiller, Elizabeth McCall, touring Australia, sharing wisdom on the art of distilling and how she has helped craft Woodford Reserve to be the perfect bourbon for an iconic Old Fashioned.

“We can’t wait to show her the innovative ways our 50 Australian bar partners have taken the cocktail to new heights, and put their own unique spin on Woodford Reserve’s 200 delicious flavour notes.”

There are 50 bars taking part in the month-long celebration, including the likes of Bennelong at the Sydney Opera House, Brisbane’s Savile Row, Adelaide’s underground oasis Bank Street Social, Whisky & Alement in Melbourne and Bar Lafayette in Perth.

In addition Woodford Reserve is also bringing back its Global Bar Exchange program for the second year as one of the World’s Top 50 Best Bars, Florence’s renowned Locale Firenze, puts its own spin on drink service at the city’s beloved Society.

From Tuesday 12 November to Thursday 14 November, the Locale’s malt maestros will be collaborating with Society’s own award-winning bartenders to add some Italian flair to the drinks menu as part of an immersive cultural and cocktail-making experience – one not-to-be-missed by bourbon lovers.

The Woodford Reserve Old Fashioned Week complimentary cocktail offer will be available at all participating venues from 1 November to 30 November, 2024. To claim a cocktail or for more information, please visit: https://oldfashionedweek.woodfordreserve.com
