Moon Dog opens fifth Melbourne venue

Moon Dog Craft Brewery will open the Moon Dog Beach Club in Frankston on Friday, 20 December, which will be its fifth Melbourne venue.

“We’re pumped to be rounding out 2024 with our fifth venue opening on the shores of sunny Frankston,” said Moon Dog CEO and co-founder Josh Uljans.

Uljans looked to bring a unique hospitality experience to Port Phillip Bay, offering a tropical vacation vibe to its newest venue.

“We want Moon Dog Beach Club to be somewhere people can go to spend time with their mates and leave their worries at the door – and there’s no better time to kick things off than with the festive season ahead,” Uljans added.

Occupying 2,000m2, the Moon Dog Beach Club offers four bars, a balcony beer garden and private spaces distributed around the venue. The main stage provides an area for the club’s line-up of DJ’s who will play into the later hours.

To enhance the beach club’s coastal ambience, there are cabana huts and hammock areas for its patrons. The spaces have been decorated with palm trees and green foliage to capture the venue’s vacation feel.

The menu offers up prawn buckets and seafood towers, with a range of starters and grazing options, while the drinks list includes a range Mojitos and Mai Tais. The venue also provides alcoholic slushie’s, beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.

There are traditional pub classics like fish & chips, parmigiana and a burger range with a kid’s menu also available.

The Frankston Beach Club follows Moon Dog’s latest launches, the Wild West venue in Footscray and Doglands in Docklands earlier this year.

“This year has been huge for Moon Dog. We’re so proud to be expanding our footprint, and we can’t wait for bayside and beachside Melburnians to get closer to the Moon Dog experience,” said Uljans.

The venue’s opening hours are Monday-Friday from 11:30pm till late.

Moon Dog Beach Club will open to the public from 2pm on the 20 December at 490 Nepean Highway, Frankston.
