Zahli restaurant has left Surry Hills after more than 10 years in the Sydney suburb.

The team made the decision to relocate the restaurant to The Harrington Collection in The Rocks, a recently completed mixed-use development that will house other hospitality offerings, including an Italian restaurant, on Harrington Street.

“Zahli is going through a transformation and Sydney is going to get
a new dining destination like no other,” says owner Mohammad Issmail.

“My vision is to offer a unique. authentic Middle Eastern taste coupled with a very classy interior.”

Zahli has now ceased operations in Surry Hills, with the new CBD site set to launch later this year.

Guests can expect a menu informed by Issmail’s mother’s cooking, with the restaurant offering a la carte and banquets listing a selection of mezza, seafood, proteins, and desserts.

It’s expected signature dishes of kibbeh nayye, shanklish, and sambousik will all make a comeback.

“Zahli … will seamlessly blend into The Rocks while simultaneously bringing a fresh, cultural element to the area,” says CEO Danny Hanna.

Official opening date to come.
